NCIV has four membership categories.  See the links on the left to find out more about the benefits of membership with NCIV.

Community Organization (CIV)
Definition:  A nonprofit organization or university that hosts international visitors, is committed to the mission of NCIV, and organizes programs for participants in the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program.

National Program Agency (NPA)
Definition:  A nonprofit organization that brings international visitors to the United States for professional meetings or training opportunities and has a current cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of International Visitors.

Associate Member
Definition:  An organization that hosts international visitors and shares NCIV's commitment to promoting excellence in citizen diplomacy. (Associate Members are not eligible for grants administered by NCIV from the U.S. Department of State's Office of International Visitors.)

Individual Member
Definition:  An individual who supports NCIV's mission.
